At what time can I check in and when must I leave the room (check-out)?
Arrival (Check-in): Your room will be ready from 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
Departure (Check-out): On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate your room by 10:00 AM.
Late Arrival: If you plan to arrive after 10:00 PM, please inform us in advance at +420 777 109 407.
Is it possible to stay in the room longer on the day of departure (Late Check-out)?
Extension Option: Late check-out is possible only by prior arrangement with the reception and is subject to current hotel availability. This service is subject to a fee.
What are the parking options at the hotel?
Price: Guests can park for free directly in the hotel’s private parking lot.
Winter Season: The road to the hotel is regularly maintained; however, during the winter months, we strongly recommend carrying snow chains in your car in case of sudden snowfall.
Is there an elevator available in the hotel?
Yes, the hotel is equipped with an elevator, providing convenient access to most of our rooms.
Can I bring a pet with me?
Yes, well-behaved pets are welcome in our hotel.
Fee: We charge 600 CZK / night for a pet’s stay.
Restrictions: For hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed in the buffet restaurant on the 1st floor.
Important Notice: Do not underestimate your vehicle’s equipment in winter. Even though we strive to keep the roads passable, the mountains can surprise you within minutes!
Is entry to the pool and wellness area included in the price of accommodation?
Pool: Yes, staying guests have unlimited free access throughout the opening hours (usually 7:30 AM – 9:30 PM).
Wellness & Sauna World (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM): Entry is subject to a fee according to the current price list, unless it is part of your specific stay package.
Do I need to reserve my entry to the pool or wellness area?
No reservation needed: You can visit the pool and the shared wellness area (sauna world) anytime without an appointment.
Reservation required: Only massages, private SPA, and other procedures must be booked in advance.
Are bathrobes and towels provided on-site? Yes, everything needed for your relaxation is provided:
Bathrobes: You will find them ready in your room free of charge.
Towels and sheets: These are available for free collection at the wellness reception.
Tip for guests: We recommend booking massages and private SPA well in advance – ideally at the time of booking your stay – to ensure your preferred time slots are available.
What time are breakfast and dinner served?
Breakfast: A rich buffet is prepared for you from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
Dinner (half board): Buffet style dinner is served from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Do you offer meals for allergy sufferers (gluten-free, lactose-free)?
Gluten-free bread: This is always available – just ask the staff directly in the restaurant.
Food composition: As a standard, 80% of the dishes in our evening buffets are naturally gluten-free. Our chefs and waiters will be happy to provide detailed information about the exact ingredients of specific dishes on the spot.
Advance notice: Even though we are prepared, we would appreciate it if you could inform us of your dietary restrictions during the booking process. This helps us prepare everything perfectly for you.
Chef’s Tip: If you have a specific diet that requires special ingredients, please do not hesitate to contact us immediately upon arrival. We will do our best to ensure you enjoy your meals without limitations.
How does the “Free Lifts” offer work and when is it valid? In cooperation with Skiareál Špindlerův Mlýn, we have prepared an exclusive summer benefit for our guests:
Main Period: The offer is fixed for the months of July to October.
Low Season (May and June): If the cable cars are already operational in May or June, the Free Cable Cars offer also applies during these months.
What you get: For every night of your stay, you receive one free return ticket per person for the cable car (Medvědín or Svatý Petr – Pláň).
Which cable car will be in operation? The priority of the ski resort is to ensure the operation of at least one of the main cable cars (Medvědín or Pláň) throughout the entire season from May to October.
Operation adjustments: Please note that the ski resort may regulate cable car operations depending on climatic conditions, weather, or necessary technical maintenance.
Where do I pick up my cable car tickets? Everything is handled digitally through the GOPASS loyalty system. We will activate your tickets upon arrival at the reception. If you do not have a GOPASS card yet, please register at: Gopass.travel.
⭐ Travel Planning Tip: Although our goal is to have cable cars available throughout the season, we recommend checking current operational info on the ski resort’s website or inquiring at our reception during May and June, especially if you are visiting mid-week.
Hotel Astra is strategically located right between the two main ski areas. Here are the best ways to get there:
Hromovka Area (Connection to Svatý Petr / Pláň)
On foot to Hromovka: approx. 800 m (a pleasant 12-minute walk downhill).
On foot to Svatý Petr: 2.3 km (approx. 35-minute walk).
By Skibus: The “Bedřiška” stop is located just a short distance from the hotel. The skibus will take you directly to the bottom station of the cable car for free.
By car: approx. 1.4 km (a 5-minute drive to the central parking lot at Hromovka P2).
Medvědín Area (Access directly on skis)
On skis (via “Vodovod”): Simply walk about 500 m (6–10 min) towards Hotel Harmony. There you can join the blue slope No. 18 (the so-called “Waterline path”), which allows you to ski down right to the Medvědín cable car.
On foot to the cable car: approx. 2.4 km (about a 25-minute walk through the town).
By Skibus: The regular line from the Bedřiška stop serves both areas (Hromovka and Medvědín).
By car: approx. 2.9 km (5–10 minutes drive to parking lot P3).
⭐ Tip for skiers: To get to Medvědín, we recommend using the “Vodovod” route – you’ll save time and get to enjoy an extra slope right in the morning!
Does the hotel have a ski school and rental shop? Yes, directly at Hotel Astra, you can use the services of a professional ski school and equipment rental for both beginners and advanced skiers.
